Team Bios

  • Clare Gordon is a fully qualified, registered Osteopath who graduated from RMIT University with honours in 2002.

    Since then, she has worked overseas as an Osteopath in a variety of clinics in Ireland, USA and Italy and has been in Melbourne running her own business since 2005. Clare was formally the President of Victoria for Osteopathy Australia.

    Clare treats patients from the newborn to the elderly, male and females, with a large variety of conditions. However, her main focus is on Women’s Health and Paediatrics. Clare has a lot of experience treating pregnant women, pre and post-natally and is passionate about helping women through their journey of pregnancy. She sees a lot of babies, toddlers and children and thoroughly enjoys helping ease their symptoms and as a result, change a whole family dynamic.

    Clare has done extensive post-graduate training for over 2 decades in Biodynamic Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (Cranio-Sacral Osteopathy) and has completed all 9 adult courses. She has also completed all 3 of the Treatment of Children courses as well as other courses on Gut health and Immunity.

    She has completed additional Paediatric training, including a Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Manual Therapy from Victoria University and was a regular participant in the Osteopathic Children’s Clinic run by the Melbourne Study Group during 2010-2015.

    Clare has also done Osteopathic courses in obstetrics and gynaecology and has attended numerous birth courses, including calm birth training. In recent years, she has enjoyed doing training in orofacial myology and tongue tie courses and works closely in collaboration with a well known holistic dentist in Melbourne.

    In addition to her Osteopathic qualifications, Clare is also qualified in Neuro-Structural Integration Technique (NST), an advanced form of Bowen Therapy.

    When not at work, Clare enjoys time with her family, including her two beautiful girls, especially if it is at the beach. She loves going to the gym and used to be a competitive swimmer and represented Victoria in Waterpolo. She is passionate about health and living a low toxic lifestyle.

  • Wendy Geddes is an accomplished Osteopath with a passion for enhancing the well-being of her patients. She earned her double degree in Applied Science (Clinical Science) and Osteopathic Science from RMIT University in 1998, and her journey in the field has spanned over two decades.

    With a gentle and empathetic approach, Wendy has honed her skills to cater for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Her experience as a mother adds perspective when treating babies and children, and she is dedicated to helping older individuals maintain their well-being as they age gracefully.

    Wendy's commitment to excellence is reflected in her continuous pursuit of knowledge through numerous postgraduate courses. She has completed many courses in Cranial Osteopathy, including all 9 phases of Biodynamic Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. Wendy has also furthered her knowledge in supporting infants and adults undergoing correction of tongue ties including multiple orofacial myology and tongue tie courses and she works in collaboration with a well known holistic dentist in this field. She has also done numerous pregnancy courses and enjoys helping women through all presentations of womens health, including pre and post natal support and endometriosis.

    Wendy enjoys working with people to enhance their well-being, assisting them to feel calmer, whether pre and post-surgery or navigating the stresses and strains of everyday life.

    When she's not in the clinic, you might find Wendy on the hockey field, volunteering with Scouts, bushwalking with friends, immersing herself in a captivating book, or enjoying time with her family, including her two teenage sons.

  • Jess uses a holistic focus, incorporating both stronger structural techniques as well as incorporating some more gentle indirect techniques. Jess likes to tailor treatment specific to each individual to help you become the best version of yourself. She enjoys treating a wide variety of patients but has a special interest in sport – whether you are a weekend warrior or elite athlete.

    Originally from Geelong, Jess is also a professional athlete. She has represented Australia in four sports – alpine skiing, athletics, track cycling and rowing. She is the first Australian athlete to medal at both the summer and winter Paralympics, the first Australian woman to medal at a winter Paralympics, a Commonwealth and World Champion in cycling, concurrently represented Australia in rowing and cycling 2022-2023 and is on track to represent Australia at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, this would be her 6th Paralympics!

    She is a Board Director and ambassador for Vision 2020 Australia, ambassador for Vision Australia and is a corporate motivational speaker.

    When not at Liforce, Jess is often hard at work training…. and then recovering! You can also find Jess as a keynote speaker, often speaking at many important events both locally, interstate and overseas.

  • Cathy is a passionate advocate for holistic health and wellness. Graduating from Victoria University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters in Osteopathy, her journey has led her through two well-established private practices in Geelong and Bayside, where she had the privilege of working alongside my long-term mentor.

    In 2014, Cathy returned to Victoria University, immersing herself in the joy of teaching as a Clinical Educator in the Student Clinic for five fulfilling years. Alongside practical experience, she expanded her skill set with certifications in Dry Needling, a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Education, Pilates Level 1, and training in EMAA (Easy Moves for Active Ageing Australia).

    Cathy’s goal with treatment is simple: to restore your mobility, keep you moving, and ensure your rehabilitation is effective, efficient, and stress-free. A combination of hands-on therapy, such as Osteopathy, and a tailored daily movement plan can empower individuals to maintain an independent, active, and healthy lifestyle.

    For the past decade, she has called Malvern home, where she not only practices but also raises her three wonderful teenage children.

  • Dr Rory Richardson is an energetic and passionate Osteopath who has a big zest for life and health.

    Rory graduated with his Masters of Health Sciences (Osteopathy) at Victoria University and has done a wide range of external training.

    Rory has had experience with a large scope of patients and conditions, including experience treating and working alongside athletes, the elderly, pregnancy and more. Whether it is chronic low back pain, an acute neck strain, general stiffness or anything in between, Rory is very knowledgeable in his approach to treatment and while using a wide range of techniques, he will adapt them to suit each respective patient, tailoring the treatment and advice to the individual.

    Rory strongly believes in in the body’s ability to empower healing and health, and uses a combination of hands-on therapy, rehabilitation advice and education to help improve an ongoing complaint or improve quality of life.

  • Nathalie graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) in 2001, and then embarked on a learning adventure, spending time honing her skills across Australia and overseas.

    Nathalie was introduced to Traditional Osteopathy (Biodynamics/Osteopathy in the Cranial Field) and the teachings of Dr James Jealous early on in her career. Through her studies both in Australia, New Zealand and in the USA, Nathalie was fortunate enough to have been a part of a study group that learnt with Dr Jealous. Nathalie has completed phase I-IX, paediatric phase I as well as other courses following the Traditional Osteopathy model.

    With this Osteopathic approach, Nathalie enjoys treating people of all ages and various conditions. Nathalie’s passion for paediatric care steered her towards numerous courses supporting women through pregnancy, childbirth and beyond as well as in the treatment of babies, infants and children.

    The early days also saw Nathalie working with amateur AFL clubs, progressing to treating VFL and AFL umpires. In addition to this, Nathalie has also completed other courses of interest: orofacial myology, women’s pelvic health and Visceral Osteopathy (Barral Institute). Nathalie was also an active participant of the Melbourne Children’s Clinic.

    Nathalie brings a unique personal touch to health and wellness by embracing many aspects wellbeing be it exercise, breath work, food and nutrition and mindfulness.

    Beyond the clinic, Nathalie continues to lead an active life and loves being outdoors whether it be by the beach, along the river or amongst the trees soaking up the fresh air. Nathalie loves anything DIY be it low tox home and body products, crafts and of course food. Born into a globe-trotting family, Nathalie usually has a travel adventure planned.

  • Anita has been practising Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture for over 15 years. She completed her Advanced Diploma of Acupuncture and Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) at Endeavour College of Natural Health (formerly Australian College of Natural Medicine) and has also completed her Certificate IV in Traditional Chinese Medicine Remedial Massage. Anita is registered with AHPRA and the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association. Anita is covered by most healthcare providers.

    Anita is a firm believer in the body's innate ability to heal itself when provided with the right support. In addition to acupuncture, Anita integrates complementary modalities such as herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping therapy, gua sha, supplements, dietary therapy, and lifestyle recommendations to empower her clients on their journey to wellness. These techniques stimulate the flow of qi (pronounced “chee”) and blood throughout the body therefore helping the patients in their well-being.

    Anita is skilled in treating a wide variety of conditions including digestive issues, sleep disorders, mental health problems, respiratory conditions, gynaecological symptoms, fertility, birth, post-partum and pain using a range of techniques.

    Anita also treats children with Chinese Medicine. This can be done using needles and/or Chinese massage techniques to move qi in their body. Techniques are chosen depending on the child and often help to improve immunity and general health and wellbeing, both mentally and physically.

    Anita sees a lot of pregnant women pre and post-natally and uses acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to help balance their body and mind for the best birth outcome. After doing this for all 3 of her pregnancies she has first hand experience in the benefits. She works with doulas, midwifes and obstetricians or GP shared care by helping qi to flow helping the babies positioning.

    Anita has 3 children and in her down time loves spend time with her family. They enjoy camping, bush walking and swimming at the beach.

  • Rozzie Renshaw completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage at Southern School of Natural Therapies in 2013. Since completing her course she has gone on to do further studies in Pregnancy Massage, Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Cupping and TMJ.

    Rozzie is currently studying Dry Needling and will be implementing this technique into her work in early 2024.

    She enjoys working in a holistic environment and working with people of all ages and backgrounds from the professional athletes to the elderly.

    Each treatment is tailored to the individuals needs to help decrease pain and improve range of movement with also aiming to relax the body and mind.

    Rozzie is passionate about health and wellbeing and enjoys pilates, strength training and walks in nature during her leisure time.

    Rozzie is currently working part time at Hawthorn Football Club as a remedial massage therapist when she is not at Liforce, and enjoys helping the boys reach their full potential on the football field. Her availability may change from week to week during the AFL season as a result.

  • Phoebe Soebagyo is a qualified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master & Tarot Reader.

    With a background in Medical Science, Mental Health & Neuroscience, Phoebe integrates her science background with her experience in the healing arts, alongside intuitive mediumship in her treatments.

    Phoebe has always been passionate about holistic health and medicine. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Medical Science at UNSW, Sydney, 2012 and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health and Neuroscience at URV, Spain, 2015. During and after her studies, Phoebe explored and trained in many natural healing modalities to address her own health journey. Phoebe became a Reiki practitioner in 2013, a Reiki Master in 2016 and Reiki Teacher in 2019. She underwent various Massage Therapy qualifications internationally and within Australia from 2015, including a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy, Byron Bay, Level 3 Diploma of Comprehensive Thai Massage, Thailand, Lomi Lomi Practitioner, Hawaii, Traditional Balinese Massage, Indonesia and Ayurvedic Massage, India.

    Phoebe is an intuitive medium, empathetic, clairsentient, clairvoyant and Medical Intuitive who channels insights through her mediumship, working with spirit guides, the body and energy to offer insight and counsel in her readings and healings. Phoebe has undertaken Tarot training and mentorship from 2017 under Lyn Ruby Morris, Inner Sanctum, helping further her intuitive abilities.

    With a great interest in tactile therapies and energy medicine in regulating the nervous system and supporting mental, emotional and physical health, Phoebe is passionate in providing a safe, nurturing space to facilitate others’ innate healing potential in an integrative approach. She aims to support others in their health, life and healing journey.

    Phoebe is in the process of training to become an Osteopath, studying a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) & Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. She has a keen interest in Cranial Osteopathy and a focus on using Osteopathy for paediatric and women’s health.

  • Holly has been mastering her craft as a skincare specialist for more than 20 years. She has worked the skincare and makeup industry in Australia and New Zealand, before setting up in her room at Liforce.

    Gua Sha Facials have created the opportunity for Holly to specialise as a holistic facialist. Focusing on a pro-age system, weaving ancient Chinese techniques, lymphatic drainage, and sculpting, with modern technology using all natural and small batch skin care.

    Her authenticity and dedication to kind beauty has led to the evolution of her services. Holly loves offering bespoke treatments to her clients using a collaboration of techniques and tools. She works intuitively with each client’s needs to give a nurturing experience with optimum results.

  • Jules is a Doula, Childbirth Educator, Birth Counsellor, Calmbirth® Practitioner and co-founder of About Birth Online.

    Over the past 20 years, Jules has supported hundreds of couples at birth as a Doula and as a Childbirth Educator. As a Doula, she supports birthing couples in hospitals regularly, allowing her to be informed in current practices in all birth settings.

    Jules offers childbirth classes, including Calmbirth® which she has been teaching at Liforce for well over a decade. She also does private consultations in person at Liforce, other venues or via Zoom. These consultations include education, birth preferences and birth debriefing and counselling.

    With a background in teaching and experiential learning, her classes are informative, relaxed and interactive.

    Jules is also an essential part of the Liforce team by also being on reception each week.

    In her spare time, Jules enjoys spending time with her adult children, travelling and loves getting caught up in a good book.
